I Specialize in Expert, Online, One-on-One Standardized Test Preparation.
Standardized test preparation is my main area of expertise. I have personally earned perfect or near-perfect scores on the SAT, ACT, LSAT, GRE, and GMAT—and have worked full-time as a professional private tutor since 2002. I also tutor the ISEE and SSAT exams for admission to private high schools and elite boarding schools across the US.
As a highly skilled communicator and perfectionist with over two decades of standardized test prep experience, I can teach you how to excel on standardized exams like no one else can.
I try to be as flexible as possible with regard to lesson times: my students have very busy schedules, and I am happy to accommodate each student's needs. Lessons are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis, 5 days a week (Sundays 9 am-4 pm MST and Mondays through Thursdays, 9 am - 7 pm MST), for 90 minutes, 60 minutes, or 30 minutes each.
Short-Term Test Preparation
For those of you who do have at least 3 weeks remaining before your test date, a full preparation is possible if you work hard enough. Students should meet with me at least twice a week (3x a week if needed), for approximately 10-15 lessons of 1.5 hours each. This type of short-term preparation requires that the student be able to devote a substantial amount of time and effort to the task at hand. Homework will be assigned, and as the test date approaches, several practice tests will be administered in order to gauge the student's progress. Students will be expected to complete at least 2 hours of homework for every 1 hour of tutoring time.
Long-Term Test Preparation
Some students prefer to make sure they are prepared well before it comes time to take the actual exam. For example, high PSAT scores can earn scholarships, not to mention build confidence for the real SAT. By starting early, students will get a head start on the rest of their classmates, and will be able to prepare gradually, making sure that they are ready for all aspects of the test.
